Daniel: I don’t know… I’ve never done anything like this before.
Isaac: Seriously? Wow, well, um… okay. It’s not that hard. You just, you know, do it.
Daniel: Thanks for the insight, genius. After that description, I don’t even feel the need to try it any more. I’ll just revel in the detailed images you so adeptly painted with your words.
Isaac: Alright, alright. Here’s the thing, once you’ve accomplished it, you’re going to wonder why you made such a big deal about it. It really is easier than you’re making it out to be. Just get a running start and go! And be sure to keep your head back.
Daniel: I believe you, about it being easy. But, when you are doing it, it looks so… foreign. Like, people aren’t supposed to be in that position. I know its not going to hurt… I just, well, I don’t really know why I’m so nervous.
Isaac: Then just do it! Or, are you chicken?
Daniel: Ok, here I go. One… Two… THREE!
[Daniel runs to the end of the dock and does a backflip into the cool calm water of the lake. When he surfaces for air, Isaac yells:]
Isaac: What’d you think!?
Daniel [swimming back to the dock]: Dude, that was amazing! The best part was half-way through the rotation, I saw you standing on the dock upside-down. [Climbs out onto the dock] The whole world was so different for a split-second. I don’t know… I got a glimpse into a parallel universe.
Isaac: Again?
[Without responding, Daniel smiles then takes off running, Isaac following right behind him, both doing backflips off the end of the dock.]
